Translator of medical and pharmacological texts - Hilkka Salmén
I graduated from the Turku Language Institute receiving the degree of 'diplomikielenkääntäjä' (DKK) in English and German and specializing in medicine and biology. In addition, I have the degree of BA majoring in English Translation and Interpreting from the University of Turku. I am an authorized translator from Finnish into English, English into Finnish and Swedish into Finnish.
Over the years I have expanded my skills by participating in many courses and seminars on commercial, technical and medical language, technical writing, scientific English, Finnish and medicine.
Many years of experience in medical and pharmacological translation
I founded Kääntöliike in the year 2000. Before that, I worked as a translator in a translation agency specializing in medicine and in a large multinational pharmaceutical company. I have performed linguistic revision of many dissertations in the fields of medicine, psychology, biochemistry, technology and chemistry.
Apart from my translation work I have also held courses in medical translation at the University of Turku.
